Organized the National Debt Counseling Forums and the Conferences on Social Difficulties for several years, providing spaces for dialogue on socio-political challenges and support structures for vulnerable populations.

Co-organized the Seeing Like a State international workshop, bringing together scholars from different disciplines to explore urban inequality and develop policy ideas.

Coordinated the Hans Böckler Foundation PhD Plenary Assembly, supporting collaboration among doctoral candidates and contributing to a stronger academic network.

Science, Culture & Community Action Developed HIV prevention strategies in Germany, including innovative testing, counseling, and condom distribution. Designed and delivered trainings for volunteers, professionals, and physicians in HIV prevention and digital health. Led health promotion and community engagement in humanitarian settings (e.g., Tajikistan, Afghanistan) using person-centered approaches. Contributed to mixed-method studies in Ethiopia, Nigeria, and South Sudan to shape local health strategies. Promoted ethical standards and local perspectives in disease prevention and health promotion. Conducted freelance research on HIV prevention, volunteering, mentoring, and LGBTQ+ advocacy, combining qualitative and quantitative insights.

Evidence, Advocacy & Social Reform Contributed to national policy on poverty, debt counseling, emergency housing, and criminal assistance through applied social science research. Participated in federal advisory bodies, including the 6th Poverty and Wealth Report and the National Advisory Board for Homelessness Statistics. Collaborated with government and welfare organizations to implement social policy initiatives. Strengthened networks to promote the inclusion of vulnerable groups in decision-making processes. Engaged in publications, press work, and expert recommendations to raise awareness of key social issues.

Academic Teaching Teaching on social policy frameworks, community work, and the political conditions shaping social work practice.
